What’s in previous weeks veg boxes

29th March veg boxes

Week beginning 5th April- everything UK

Wet garlic– 100g (not organic, but foraged from an ancient woodland in Stockport, more info on this page here) if you didn’t get some last week
Leafy veg– Red Russian Kale (grown at Reddy Lane)
Leeks– (grown at Reddy Lane)
Chard– (grown at Reddy Lane) only a little of this available at the moment
Purple sprouting broccoli– (grown either at Reddy Lane, Lancashire or Cornwall) everyone has this this week
Salad– (grown at Reddy Lane), but not for everyone this week
Baking spuds – (approx 500g from Scotland)
Courgettes or cucumbers (Gloucestershire) – only a tiny few of these to go around
Cauliflowers (Cornwall) or white cabbages (Scotland) – not for everyone

Making up the numbers- apples (Kent) unless you have seperate fruit, carrots (Lancashire) and Mushrooms (Northern Ireland).

Making up the numbers- white cabbages (Scotland), parsnips (Scotland), apples (Kent) unless you have seperate fruit, carrots (Lancashire), Mushrooms (Northern Ireland) and Turnips (Bristol).

Alouette potatoes or baking spuds – (Yorkshire or Scotland)
Carrots (Lancashire)
Mushrooms (Northern Ireland) – a good amount
Turnips (Bristol) – about 500g

Making up the numbers- red or white cabbages (Scotland or Lincs), parsnips (Scotland), apples (Kent) unless you have seperate fruit and pea shoots (Hereford)

Week beginning 15th March– everything UK
Salad– 100g for medium boxes and 150g for large (grown at Reddy Lane)
Greens– either chard or kale or purple sprouting broccoli (grown at Reddy Lane)
Leeks– (grown at Reddy Lane)
Alouette potatoes– just a few this week (Yorkshire)
Spring greens (Lancashire) or Watercress (Wiltshire) only a few of these to go round
Red cabbages (Scotland)
Mushrooms (Northern Ireland) or Carrots (Lancashire) or Parsnips (Scotland) or Apples (Kent) unless you have seperate fruit
Pea shoots (Hereford) if you didn’t have them last week

Fruit
Strawberries (Spain), Apples (UK) or Kiwis (Spain)
Bananas (Fairtrade- Dominican Republic)
If you have bananas as a seperate item, then you will definately have strawberries.

Week beginning 8th March- everything UK
Salad– 100g for medium boxes and 150g for large (grown at Reddy Lane)
Greens– either chard or kale (grown at Reddy Lane)
Alouette potatoes– 1kg medium or 1.5kg for large (Yorkshire)
Cauliflowers (Cornwall) or Savoy cabbages (Yorkshire)
Mushrooms (Northern Ireland) if you didn’t have them last week
Carrots (Lancashire) if you didn’t have them last week or Parsnips (Lincolnshire)
Jerusalem artichokes (Lancs) if you didn’t have them last week
Apples (Kent) unless you have seperate fruit
Pea shoots (Hereford) for large boxes

Apples (UK) or Oranges (Italy) or Pears (Spain)
Bananas (Fairtrade- Dominican Republic)
If you have bananas as a seperate item, then you have apples, oranges or pears instead.

Greens– either chard, kale, pak choi or broccoli (grown at Reddy Lane)
Alouette potatoes– 1kg medium or 1.5kg for large (Yorkshire)
Cauliflowers (Cornwall) or celeriac (Lancashire)
Mushrooms (Northern Ireland)
Carrots (Lancashire)
Jerusalem artichokes (Lancs)

Also, making up the boxes apples (unless you have seperate fruit), and onions and if you are very lucky some of Reddy Lane’s final bulbs of garlic.
